HIV Book Translation fund
Health workers around the world are eager to use HIV, Health and Your Community as soon as they can. However, the book is written in English and has not yet been translated. We have already heard from groups interested in translating the book into other languages including Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Shona. These groups need financial help to do so. The HIV Book Translation Fund will give grants of up to $2000 to enable grassroots groups to get translations off the ground quickly and attract additional funding.

Other ways to help:
Please send us feedback about the book
We are currently putting together materials for the second edition. We would like to hear how you used the book. We are especially interested in learning about what worked and what did not work for your AIDS project.
Help us find organizations interested in partnering to purchase and distribute the book
We are currently working with a variety of governmental and non-governmental agencies to distribute the book. The most helpful arrangement is for the agency to buy the book and then use it as support materials for their projects. If you know of an interested organization we would be happy to provide books at a bulk discount rate.
Send us a description of your aids prevention project
We are currently gathering materials for the second edition of the book. If it is acceptable to your members, we would be delighted to feature your project in the next edition. We are also building a list of projects that could use books when the funds become available. Finally, all of our proceeds are donated to community-based AIDS organizationswe would like to have your information so that we can ask you for a proposal.
If you are interested in any of these activities, or if you have a different idea of how you can help the HIV Book Project we would love to hear from you via either regular mail (using the address provided above) or e-mail to
